FREE Sony HC camcorder with the purchase of any SportsCam System - Limited time offer so order now!

NOTE: When a free Sony HC camcorder is offered, it will also include all of the camcorder accessories such as
an operating manual, camera battery, a MiniDV video tape, battery charger, remote control, and various cables for playback.

THE SYSTEM:
The SportsCam System provides a simple but safe and reliable method to record professional-quality video for any high-action extreme sport. The system consists of three elements -- The Remote Video Head (RVH), the RVH Extension Cable, and the Camera Body Pouch. For your ultimate safety and comfort, only the miniature lightweight Remote Video Head is mounted either inside goggles or on the forehead of a helmet. The Remote Video Head and the Pouch are connected by a single extension cable which can be routed out of the way through a jumpsuit or clothing.

THE RVH:
The RVH is actually a state-of-the-art micro video camera but for our purposes used simply as a remote lens.

The picture quality is excellent. Most people cannot see any quality difference between the normal camcorder picture and the one from the RVH.

THE CAMERA BODY POUCH:
The system's recording device, a Sony camcorder, is housed in the Camera Body Pouch safely at the waist out of harm's way. The Control Button is conveniently at hand on top of the pouch which also contains a mini-microphone, the system Indicator Lights, and the 12 volt Battery Pack. One touch of the Control Button powers the system up to Standby (Green Light) ... the second touch begins the recording (Red Light). Where you look is what you record, both video and audio. It's that simple.
Once you start recording, you are free to pursue your sport without another thought concerning the video recording. Afterwards, you can play back the action at your convenience for yourself or others.
The SportsCam Video System was developed to remove the dangerous weight and bulk of a helmet-mounted video cameras currently in use without the loss of picture quality.
CAMERA BODY POUCH - details:
The Body Pouch contains and protects a standard SONY video camcorder which acts as the recording module. The pouch is attached at the waist with a special belt and acts as a control center to power up and down the camcorder. Highly visible LED lights indicate the camera status at all times.
The Camera Body Pouch houses a single multi-function control button which switches the camcorder from standby to record and back with matching indicator lights visible even in broad daylight.

In short, the camcorder can be used as a normal handheld camera outside the pouch and then stowed in the pouch for any extreme activity. Once in the pouch, it is ready to record at a moment's notice with the touch of a button. The pouch also contains the 12 volt battery pack for the RVH which, again, reduces the weight on the HelmetCam, GoggleCam, or WristCam.

GOGGLECAM ADVANTAGES:
With the use of a GoggleCam, a hard helmet with a ringsight is no longer necessary for shooting video although some type of headgear is recommended to secure the GoggleCam in freefall.
The wide angle lens eliminates the need for a ringsight which frees the videographer from concentrating on a target as well as eliminating the obstruction in front of one eye.
What the videographer sees is what is being recorded so the extreme activity, whether it be skydiving, racing, or snow skiing, can be entirely enjoyed without the need to concentrate on filming.

PURCHASING:
You may make purchases with a credit card on the "Prices & Pages" page, by e-mail at info@sportscam.biz, or phone 941-365-8433. If you need to pay by check, there will be a slight delay in shipping until the check clears.

CAMCORDERS:
Note that if you want to use a video camcorder you already own, it MUST be a SONY which is the only manufacturer that includes a "LANC" jack as a standard feature on many of its models as well as an "AV" jack. Another feature necessary for use in the SportsCam system is a "Record" function in the VCR (playback) mode. Many, but not all, Sony camcorders are compatible with SportsCam.

The following Sony models ARE COMPATIBLE with SportsCam Systems:
HC30, HC32, HC40, HC42, HC90, HC96, PC9, PC109, PC120, PC350, & PC1000.

The following Sony models DO NOT WORK with SportsCam Systems:
PC55, HC20, HC21, HC26, HC28, HC36, HC38, HC46, & HC48.

PAL - EUROPEAN FORMAT:
SportsCam now offers a "PAL" (the European video standard) version in addition to "NTSC" (the North American video standard). If you need the PAL version, please send an email to that effect to info@sportscam.biz before you place your order.
